Facebook and Instagram are testing a new offering called Meta Verified that will provide a subscription bundle for up-and-coming creators to grow their presence and build their community faster. The bundle will offer a verified badge, proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reach, along with exclusive features to express themselves in unique ways. The service will be tested in Australia and New Zealand first, and will later expand to the rest of the world. The subscription can be purchased for $11.99 on the web and $14.99 on iOS and Android. To be eligible, accounts must meet minimum activity requirements and be at least 18 years old, and applicants must submit a government ID that matches their profile name and photo. The service will also include proactive monitoring for account impersonation and swift action against violators.
